In 2002, Runyan & Associates gave a modern re-interpretation to what at first glance seemed to be an unassuming mid-century split level. The original design by James A. Nolen clearly demonstrated the influence of the early work of Frank Lloyd Wright: low rooms, sheltering eaves, a massive hearth, and horizontal bands of windows. The 21st century exterior re-design is a sensitive integration of the Prairie Mission style into Nolen's original Wright inspired split-level building.
