Preservation Briefs
The
National Park Service has published a series of Preservation
Briefs that provide guidance on preserving, rehabilitating
and restoring historic buildings. Please note that the web versions
of the Preservation Briefs differ somewhat from the printed versions.
Many illustrations are new, captions are simplified, illustrations
are typically in color rather than black and white, and some complex
charts have been omitted.
CHHS
has a complete collection of these Preservation Briefs for reference
at our office. Hard copies of the Briefs may be purchased from the
Government Printing Office. A link at the end of each Brief takes
you to the online
TPS Publications Catalog. You can also order PBs from the U.S.
Government Printing Office Online Bookstore.
